(Ike really was a visionary arranger and bandleader--sadly his abusiveness and destructive lifestyle overshadows all of his major contributions to R&B and music in general.) And what else can be said about Tina that hasn't already been said 100X before!! (Don't sleep on the Ikettes--they were BEAUTIFUL women along with being GREAT dancers and singers--they really added VITAL energy to their stage show!!)

Her voice was so stressed, I wonder if she could even speak. (For some reason the speaking voice and singing voice are totally different. I’ve had times when I had laryngitis and couldn’t talk but could still manage to sing to about 85% capacity. I don’t know how it works, but it’s true.) He's a coward. He was pretending to laugh as she was talking but I'm sure he counted every time she said something he didn't like so he could pay her back for it later. He's too scared to talk so what exactly was she suppose to do? She's got all the talent and charm. He wasn't needed and old Ike new it. It's not hard to hire a backup band. She was a hero and he story inspired so many.
